• Mike Gipson is committed to making sure big corporations and very wealthy individuals pay their fair share. 

• As a Board of Equalization member, he will increase audits and oversight to identify and close tax loopholes used by insurance companies, utilities, big businesses and the super-rich who are rigging the system for themselves.

• Mike Gipson grew up in a working class family – his dad was a union truck driver and his mother cleaned homes, and he is focused on affordability and helping regular Californians save money. 

• Throughout his career, Gipson has been committed to increasing wages and benefits for workers and has helped pass laws to require equal pay for women and to hold corporations accountable for wage theft and unsafe working conditions

• As a Board of Equalization member, he will work to reduce the tax burden on working families, seniors on fixed incomes and small businesses.

Champion for Immigrants and Abortion Rights

• Gipson helped to pass new laws that protect immigrants and fight back against ICE and the Trump Administration’s assault on our rights and democracy

• Gipson also co-sponsored CA’s constitutional amendment that permanently protects abortion rights in our state
