THE TRUTH ABOUT YVONNE YIU
Sued for Business Misconduct
-
Yvonne Yiu has been sued numerous times by former business partners and associates and fined for her misuse of client funds.
-
Court records also show that she was forced to settle a lawsuit after being accused of defrauding foreign workers seeking U.S. work permits. She is not someone that we can trust with our tax dollars.
Failure to support Abortion Rights
-
When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Yvonne Yiu refused to support women's reproductive freedom and abortion rights as a local city councilmember, killing a resolution to designate Monterey Park as a Reproductive Freedom City.
-
That is why Planned Parenthood, nurses, and civil rights organizations rejected Yiu and have repeatedly refused to support her.
Longtime Republican
-
Yvonne Yiu left the Democratic Party when Barack Obama ran for President in 2008, and registered as a Republican and stayed a Republican even after Donald Trump was elected. (LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk: Yiu registered as Republican 9/14/08-10/29/18)
-
Yiu didn't even bother to vote for more than a decade, including the 2016 presidential election, and only showed up to cast a ballot for herself when she decided to run for public office. (LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk: Yiu failed to vote in the 2010 primary and general, 2012 primary, 2014 primary and general, 2016 primary and general, and 2018 primary)
